Hi! I’ve had several folks contact me for Christmas orders for stocking stuffers or for gift baskets at work and church. There’s still time to get your orders in for Christmas delivery. If you’re local, I’m going to be setting up a pick-up date for everyone to pick up any prepaid orders. But don’t worry, I’ll have extras of our favorites made up ahead of time in case you need some last minute gifts, too.
Some of the favorites from the latest show were Pineapple Upside Down Jam, Strawberry Balsamic and Black Pepper Jam, and the Spicy Red Sauce with Spinach. The Contact/Order Form has a list of available jams and sauces and the costs of each. Please let me know soon if you are thinking about ordering.

Christmas Craft Show Table
What a great day I had today. I was busy the WHOLE time from 10-5, and I’m really looking forward to tomorrow. I saw a few friends from previous shows like Anthy of Gems By Anthy fame. :0) And her husband came by, too. And speaking of husbands, mine came by the craft show today…along with my sister-in-law, three nieces, a nephew and his girlfriend. It was great to see so much BULLA famiily near the BULLA FAMILY FARM table! Thanks to all of them for their support today (and everyday)!!
I’ve just finished another batch of Spiced Peach Jam, since my entire stock of it sold out today. Next I’m on to the Spiked Blueberry Jam and then two pots of red sauce – Spicy Red with Spinach and a Traditional. After that, I think I’ll be ready to go to bed!!
I’m so thankful for my Bulla Family tonight. I’ve got all but one son in the house…I have four sons, two girlfriends, two brothers-in-law, one sister-in-law, five nieces, one nephew, and a partridge in a pear tree!!! I LOVE IT!!
I volunteered at The Salvation Army Annapolis the first half of the day and then came home to my own family. I am blessed, and I am thankful!
OK, so a couple of days ago, my sister-in-law in MD found out she had to have some outpatient surgery…on Tuesday morning. She was originally hosting Thanksgiving dinner for the family, as well as 6 other family members. Well, that can’t happen now. So, the troops rallied, as usually happens with family. :0)
I’m now cooking the bird…well, at least one of the birds. My brother-in-law from NY is bringing down another cooked bird that he’s preparing today. We’ve got all the fixin’s to cook and there’s still my CRAFT SHOW on Friday and Saturday that I’m cooking up a storm to get ready for.
Best of all, there’s lots of family around! All the Bulla Boyz are here, the NY Bullas and MD Bullas are all going to be together with the matriarch and patriarch on hand to complete what we’re truly thankful for…each other!

Oh yeah. It’s that good. I made a fresh batch tonight in preparation for the Ss. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church in Annapolis, MD, this Friday and Saturday. It tastes and smells AWESOME with hints of honey and pumpkin pie spices!! I’m SO ready for Thanksgiving!!
I’m trying to keep myself busy to stay awake until my son, Danny, gets here from Seattle. I’m not sure home much longer I’m going to make it though. <sigh>
I also fixed a batch of Spiked Blueberry Jam this evening. When I made it yesterday, it just turned out a little too thin. So, I Google’d it…found a great post on “How to fix runny jam” http://bloggingitswhatsfordinner.blogspot.com/2009/08/how-to-fix-runny-jam.html; worked like a charm. The first batch is cooling alongside the Spiced Peach Jam.
I had a great morning and early afternoon today. It started with a performance with a small brass group from The Salvation Army in Lothian, Maryland, at a red kettle…the first of the season. That’s right, Christmas is beginning before we even have Thanksgiving! After a couple hours at the kettle, I stopped at the Amish Market in Annapolis on my way home. They had loads of fresh spinach…so there’s some Spicy Red Sauce with Spinach in my cooking future!!
I’ve also got to get ready for our Love Feast covered dish dinner at church tomorrow. While my mom and dad are traveling to Atlanta to be with my sisters’ families for Thanksgiving, my preacher specifically asked for dad’s macaroni and cheese. So, I’m on the hook for that and a double green bean casserole. Have I mentioned how much I love to cook?! But I really can’t believe that Thanksgiving is next week already. Where has my Fall gone? And, if you find it, you might as well keep it, because Christmas is already banging on the front door!!
I think I’m going to try another new jam recipe today, too. I have a scrumptious looking recipe for Carrot Cake Jam. Sounds too interesting to not try. I’ll let you know how that turns out.
Now…it’s time for a Saturday afternoon nap (right after I put on my sauce to cook for the rest of the day!).
